A RECIPE...SOME CUTIES...AND A GIFT.

Some of you have asked for this recipe, so here it is.

STRAWBERRY PRETZEL JELLO

2-3 cups crushed pretzels (place in a plastic
zip lock bag and crush with a rolling pin)
3 T. sugar
3/4 cup melted butter

Preheat oven to 350' (250 for glass pan)
Mix crushed pretzels with the sugar and butter
and spread in a greased 9x13 pan. Bake for 10 min./cool

1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1 cup sugar
1 12-ounce Cool Whip topping

Mix softened and 1 cup sugar until smooth.
Fold in whipped cream. Spread over the cooled
pretzels, set aside.

1 large box of strawberry Jell-O
2 cups boiling water
1 16-ounce packages frozen
sliced strawberries.

Dissolve Jell-O in the hot water in a bowl.
Add strawberries. Mix well and put in the
fridge until thickened (about 5 min.)
Take out and pour over the cream cheese layer.
Refrigerate until firm and ready to serve.

Serve topped with a dab Cool Whip

This Jell-O is a family favorite...SO good!

Sweet baby Claire and her warming smile...doesn't her
smile just make you feel good? It does me!

Something sad...this little birdie fell off the couch and broke her wing!
Her mommy cried many a tear over her sweet baby.

Babies have many falls but this one hit just right and broke
her arm at the top. She has to have a cast on it for a few weeks.

See this sweet handsome boy...he LOVES his bear SO much,
he has about loved him to death, just like the story of the
Velveteen Rabbit.

He and Tricky are almost always together...

This is the same boy when he was a baby...I bought this big soft bear
for him back then...makes me so happy that he has loved it so much.

Look what a I won...a lovely, kind and generous give a way
from Misha my friend. I love, love it all...thank you Misha!

Go visit her ladies, she loves her horses, dogs and cats
just like I love mine. Her blog is called;
From My Front Porch In The Mountains
http://frommyfrontporchinthemountains.blogspot.com

We are getting some of that strong wind that is hitting
everyone and snow...it is indeed starting to look a lot
like Christmas! Got our tree up and the gifts bought,
wrapped and under the tree...now to sit back and let the
sweet spirit of Christmas come...love this special time!

~WITH SO MUCH LOVE~

That looks so yummy! And sad for your poor little one. Broken bones are not fun! Mind if I ask how much you paid to have your blog printed like a book? I've been thinking about doing that. Have a happy day.

Yum, that looks good! The Christmas lunch at our office is Dec 20th and I've promised a Sopapilla Cheesecake ...I might just make this one to take along as well. There are 30 people in our office and I don't think they will have any trouble cleaning up two cheesecake desserts!

You should write a kid's storybook called 'Adventures of Tricky the Bear and His Boy' for your little grandson. I bet he is still young enough to love that and it would be something he could read to his children someday.

Special prayers for the little one with the broken arm and also for her mommy. It's much easier to hurt yourself than to see your child hurt.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, Julie, to you and all the family!

So sorry about the chicken wing! I bet there were some tears all right.

Kids are pretty darn resilient and they do well.

Cute pictures of the other kids. They are so darling.

I love that pretzel salad. I'll have to try this one. I've only had it once and I was in love.

So sorry about the little one's broken arm. I know her mommy is hurting worse than her sweet little girl is. I pray she heals up nicely.

Wow you are way ahead of me. No sitting back yet. I have a girlfriend luncheon here on Thursday, then I will catch my breath and get ready for my mom's arrival for a couple of weeks. It is a wonderful time of the year. I love this "salad" and so does my family, especially with raspberries. Hope your baby heals quickly.

Thanks for sharing your pretzel jello recipe. It looks absolutely delicious.
It's so hard when little ones get hurt. When my grandson was about the same age of your little birdie, his Mom was holding him while walking across an icy parking lot. Mom fell, landed on his leg and broke it. Believe me there were LOTS of tears there and it wasn't from Corban!
You have some adorable grandchildren.

So sorry about the wing of your precious little birdie, and I hope she AND her Mom are feeling better!

The pictures of your other little birdie with that bear are just precious too!!

I was wondering if you got snow there. I love being home when it does, especially if there's a tree! Enjoy your weekend!!

That gorgeous Jello salad got my attention! Will have to make it soon. Sorry to hear little Sophia had a fall, hope she's good as new in no time. I'm behind as usual, lots to do before Christmas arrives. We have a chance of snow or ice this week so I best get busy! With parents in two nursing homes now, I'm spread thin so to speak. Have taken on yet another job with an online newspaper writing a food column once a week. Why do I think I can do it all?! Thanks for being so faithful to visit me!

Love the big teddy bear. My adopted son came with one, his only possession. He loved that bear and called it Joey. The whole town knew about Joey.
The new baby has such a sweet smile already for such a little one.
Glad that you are all ready to relax. I don't know how you do that with so many. Who do you do presents with all those grands......I am looking for advice for my 6.

Poor Sophia! I hope she feels much better real soon and for Christmas! At least she is young and I believe her bones will heal quicker than us older folks. My heart goes out to her Mom too.

One of my daughters has a bear that she has had since she was little and she still has it decorating her bed!

I have yet to start wrapping! It is something I must start this weekend because a lot of it is being shipped cross country. I've been busy decorating and planning my village which is being readied to be on display.

Thanks so much for sharing this! My daughter & I were just discussing this tonight. Her tummy has been so upset since she lost her Coco...she hasn't been able to eat much. One of their neighbors brought this salad over to them and it's something she's been able to handle.

I'm so sorry about the fall! I just hate to see a little one hurt. We know it's going to happen with children but when a bone is broken, it's so sad. The other pics are totally adorable!

I'm trying to get the paint mess cleaned up and everything put back in place. I want to get back to "enjoying" this season!
