HE SENT HIS SON...FOR YOU...FOR ME.

"CHRIST HAS WON THE VICTORY"

And what does He ask of us?

"HE SENT HIS SON"

How could the Father tell the world of love and tenderness?
He sent his Son, a newborn babe, with peace and holiness.

How could the Father show the world the pathway we should go?
He sent his Son to walk with men on earth, that we may know.

How could the Father tell the world of sacrifice, of death?
He sent his Son to die for us and rise with living breath.

What does the Father ask of us? What do the scriptures say?

Have faith, have hope, live like his Son, help others on their way.

What does He ask? Live like his Son.

A BUSY WEEK....

I just have to wish all my friends and family a very...
HAPPY EASTER

We have had a busy week and I have been gone a lot, so today I
wanted to get a post up and I have lots of things to do around my
home to get caught up and prepare for this Easter weekend.

First, we went north to see some of our family there. This is Megan and
I bet you can guess her age just by looking at those missing front teeth!
It seems like just yesterday my children were this age and now it's their
turn with their children.

~Our son Darin with his children Megan and Britton~

Then I went to the doctor about a mole on my back that was growing bigger.
He cut it off and said it was nothing to worry about, then he said; "let me look at
this on your face." Sure enough, it was skin cancer, so I had to get that cut out...not
fun! But the good news is they got it all and I should be A-OK now. Warning...don't take
more than 2 Extra-Strength Tylenol in a 24 hour period, (it says so on the bottle in really teeny tiny print) between that, and perhaps what they put in my face to deaden it...
I was having some weird things going on!

We all went out to eat and my daughter came along and sat across from me. I looked
at her and for about 15 seconds, I thought she was a friend of my other daughter...I was
just about to ask who this gal was when I realized it was my daughter! I have never had
anything like that happen before. It was a bit like when you come out of surgery and start
coming to and you are not sure of who it is that is standing around you..very strange!

Then we went south to see some of our other children and their little ones.
Ella- Easter bunny baby-and Sophia

These little girls are beginning to be friends, Ella loves mothering Sophia.

The weather was so nice, so we went to a near by
park to play in the sunshine for awhile, it felt so
good to me, just to feel the sun on my skin again!

Ella and Sophia... slip-sliding away.

I loved this picture of Ella

Caleb-Ella and Sophia

Caleb is getting to be such a big boy, he was doing
this all by himself and he is also riding his bike now!

It was fun to be there with them and watch
them have fun, I wish I could do it everyday!

A sweet picture of Sophia...I love that little wave.

I love this hearty grin on our great grandson Tracen's cute face!

Great news....Our daughter Tiffany is having her 3rd baby,
she just found out that it is a little girl. She gets more
beautiful with every baby I think. This will be 21 grands for
us and we are so happy! The name they have picked out is so
beautiful...can't tell yet though!

I wish you all a very Happy Easter this weekend as you gather with your loved ones to remember our Savior Jesus Christ... and all he has done for us...does do for us...and will yet do for us. I know he is real, he is my personal Savior and he goes before my face and encircles me about as I go through my life. I love him with all my heart and am so very grateful for all my many, many blessings.

I took this picture the other night just as it was getting dark.
A awesome big moon hanging over our horse shed...beautiful.

Life is full of such beauty, just waiting for us to raise our heads
and see. Have a great Easter weekend family and friends,
where ever you are!

I WANT TO BE AS A LITTLE CHILD.

I want to be as a little child...obedient, humble and without guile.

Eager to serve, repentant and meek, becoming strong where now I am weak.

I know that I have celestial worth.

My time is precious here on earth. To reap the blessings
of Fathers plan, I can't afford the natural man.

To greet Him...

Hold him, kiss his feet when in His heavenly realms we meet.

To kneel before His wounded hands, I cheerfully do what he commands.

This is my sacred eternal goal. It lights the dark places of my soul.

I live to see my Saviors smile. He'll call me home, His little child.
~Steven Ensign~

******

Have a wonderful day my friends...and remember...you are a child of God.
You are known and loved by your Father in Heaven and by your Savior Jesus Christ.
They have set up a beautiful plan of happiness for you and I and our goal as we left them,
was to return to them. Don't let this old world get you down, you are more than you know.
You are a Child of God. They are there for you and will be for your whole life, hold to them.

CAKE...KIDS...and...A NEW HAIR CUT.

After a long winter, I am so ready for some of these.
So I set out to make a delicious Strawberry Cake. It was
so good, I wanted to share it with you...I hope you like it too.

STRAWBERRY BUNDT CAKE

1 Strawberry Cake Mix
3 oz. box of Strawberry Pudding
Pie Filling, (not instant)
3/4 cup mashed up, fresh strawberries,
add a bit of sugar, (reserve 6 T. juice)
4 eggs
1/3 cup water

Spray Pam.. in bundt pan, and
sprinkle it with white sugar.

Mix all ingredients, (except the reserved 6 T. juice)

Pour into the bundt pan and into oven set at 350'
Bake it for 50 minutes...Remove and cool slightly.

It smells so good while it's cooking, I think this is my favorite thing about baking!
It makes such a pretty cake too, you can see all the fresh chunks of strawberries.

STRAWBERRY GLAZE FROSTING

2 cups of confectioners sugar
1/2 stick of softened butter
The 6 T. of strawberry juice

Mix in saucepan and boil for 2-3 minutes.

Remove from heat and add;

2-3 drops red food coloring,
Now drizzle over cooled cake.

I like to use more strawberries and cover the
cake with them as the frosting sets up and all is cool.
This is so good, a special Spring time treat, enjoy!

We went here with some of our kids and grand kids.

It's a new swimming and sports complex in their city.
This is a winding current of water that carries them around,
kind of like the steams of water I floated on a tube as a kid.

Little Ella...she was so brave! Anything she saw the
older kids around her doing, she had to do it too.

Lindsey with her baby Sophia

It was such a fun afternoon to be together...

Little girls are so cute in little pig-tails.

I love it that they love each other...that is what makes my heart happy!

~Ella and Natalie~

I thought this was so cute...Sophia was with her older boy cousins and
she had them all charmed! Look how sweet she is holding on to his neck!

Ella and Sophia hanging out together

Sophia's daddy is a championship trials bike rider. This was the first
time she had seen him doing it and wearing a helmet etc. She thought
that was all so exciting hearing the sounds of the motorcycles and seeing
dad ride by and wave at her.

Here she is on his other motorcycle..."Bad To The Bone Baby"

I love playing on the floor with my grands...I love how she is looking right into my soul in this picture. That is what grands do, and thats what grandma's do too, thats why we love each other so much! I also show you this to show my hair...I liked it but was in a bit of a FUNK...so I did this...

And I am loving it! It is so easy to do...I just get up and run my fingers through water and then through my hair, shaping it as I go, and I'm done! It is so fast and so easy...I am out of the FUNK and ready for Spring! It was a fun change... and change is good. Now I am a sassy grandma! ;D

It must be Spring, we keep getting little dusting of snow but for the most part it gets more and more sunny and the temps. get a bit warmer everyday. I am loving walking outside again, I was getting so tired of the dreadmill. I take my dogs each day and go for about 4 miles, they love it.

Have a good week my friends and THANK YOU for all your kindness to me, I love every
one of you so much...you make me laugh and shed tears...you are my sisters and my friends.

MY... HEART OF THE HOME.

My Red Rooster...he stands on my island in the center of my kitchen

Welcome to my kitchen ladies...come on in.

I love the old fashioned looking stoves. This one behind me was in my previous home, it was the real reason the home sold, the lady wanted the home because of the stove! I miss it, maybe one day I will have one if these again. And this is my Brickelle making dinner with grandma.

They come in all colors...I just love them.

Every kitchen should have some aprons....I love aprons!

Looking into the kitchen...and yes, I have my fridge covered with my kids and grand kids!

I love the little fruit and goodie box~

Another view...looking into the kitchen at night.

I love pretty things on my counters instead of appliances,

And pretties on my little kitchen table...

This sits above my sink, looking out over the great room.
I love being connected to the family as I am in the kitchen.

I love my section of red cabinets, they break up the dark ones and add beauty.
The cabinets are Hickory and they are stained a dark mahogany with a black glaze.

They have lights in them, so at night it looks really beautiful.

I love lots of kisses for my cooking don't you?!

Love my crock ware and cookie jar~

My red canisters and my blog book...

My very old little green table...it holds my sweet singing parakeets.

I love to be surrounded by pretty pictures, this one reminds me of my mom and me.

Ours is a country home for sure...I also have a red sign
that says; "A Day In The Country Is Worth A Month In Town"

I love this...I love even the word MOTHER.
I love my mom and I love being a mom.

These are the pads on my kitchen chairs...I LOVE chickens and roosters!

This sits on my dining room table right by the kitchen.

This matches the red in my kitchen cabinets

Love my roosters...

A BIG rug that I have next to my island, makes it easy to cook and clean up.

I have a set of 6 Williams Sonoma farm plates that I love

My windows are really big in my kitchen, and I love the
views out of them so I have only valances on the windows.

This is one of the views I look out at, I had the island placed just so I could see this.

More chickens and roosters placed up high on a wall, our ceilings are 15 feet high.

I love welcoming signs placed around...

This sweet mama and her babies is a favorite of mine.

In my home... you are always among friends.

My kitchen always has to have a goodie on the counter...

Settings like this make me happy...

And nothing is as welcoming in a home as home made bread, fresh out of the oven. It makes my home smell so heavenly and I love to always have it when my kids come home. I could live on just home made whole wheat bread alone I think! For my easy recipe go to my sidebar.

Well, thats a bit of my kitchen...I hope you enjoyed the Heart of My Home, I wish you could
all come over and bake cookies with me, that would be so much fun! Have a good week friends.
