BAD HAIR DAYS.....

Mollie got me thinking about bad hair days! I was looking over my pictures over the years and oh my, do I ever have some bad hair days. From the very beginning, my hair has been doing it's own thing...
Second grade brought this...what was my mother thinking...Star Wars buns on the side of my head? No wonder I was in such a daze!

Well, the funny buns are gone by third grade but but who was cutting my bangs? I guess thebad hair days days at Sky View High were my fault, those juice cans we rolled our hair on apparently were not such a good idea after all!

By senior year it got a little better but after that it went up and down the scale of bad hair done in a WILD way.
Oh, I thought I'd throw this one in, anyone recognize these guys??? Thats me on the right fixing Craig Jessop's tie and the guy on the far left is Michael Ballam. Yes they went on to be famuos and I went ont with my bad hair days!
Then came the BIG hair days...what alot of work and perms, hairspray and ratting, but I hear big hair is BACK!!!
What was this...the out of control Marilyn Monroe days? My girls say it was my mid-life crisis days! Shave the sides (those star Wars days had some weird affect on me I think) and go blond...way blond.

Then the days come when your beautiful daughters come into their own and Mom steps back in awe to watch them shine! I regain my brains (because the bleaching has stopped) and enjoy them and all that go's on in their lives. Grandchildren come into the picture and all is well again!

I'm not saying my bad hair days are over, every once in a while I start talking about perms and cutting it all off and I hear;"Mom, don't you dare!" I'll repeat...Julie act your age but in my head I hear that little voice say,"Go for it!" Let's see your bad hair days ladies, if you dare!!!

Look Who's Talking...

Hi! My mom said I should introduce myself to everyone. My name is COUGAR. I'm one of those golden retrievers. My mom and dad drove to Idaho to get me and I loved them right away. You can tell how happy I am...

I'm behaving extra good for my new family so they'll let me in the house every now and then.
In the garage I got my own HOUSE and it's my favorite color RED!
A trip to the local feed store and I got a nice blue collar.

I'm so excited to start exploring my new world...
This is one of my new friend is Mr. Red. Boy - he's got one big nose!
I promised my owners that I wouldn't hurt the chickens - and I won't cuz I'm a GOLDEN!
Hey - and they got grandkids! That's gonna be fun!
And every guy needs a nice truck to ride around in - boy am I lucky!
Well, happy trails to ya! See ya around!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

With all the talk of new year goals I was thinking what I should do to improve ME , I ran across this, and thought it was cute. Hope I can be a sweet tater this year! TATER PEOPLE

Some people never seem motivated to participate, but are just content to watch while others do the work. They are called...Speck Taters.

Some people never do anything to help, but are gifted at finding fault with the way others do the work. They are called...Comment Taters.

Some people are very bossy and like to tell others what to do, but don't want to soil their own hands. They are called...Dick Taters.

Some people are always looking to cause problems by asking others to agree with them. It is too hot or too cold, too sour or too sweet! They are called...Agie Taters.

There are those who say they will help, but somehow just never get around to actually doing the promised help. They are called...Hezzie Taters.

Some people can put up a front and pretend to be someone they are not. They are called...Emma Taters.

Then there are those who love others and do what they say they will do. They are always prepared to stop whatever they are doing and lend a helping hand. They bring sunshine into the lives of others. They are called...Sweet Taters.

Now since sweet taters are my favorite and so much less fattening, guess I'd better work on being that! All of you already are sweet taters, thanks for your love and patience with me as I try to learn how to do this computer-blog thing. Believe it or not, for me, this is hard, maybe it'll get easier. All my Love!
