THE CABINS OF FISH LAKE ..and.. I'M OFF.

Remember this little baby quilt I was making? Well, any minute now

this little girl will be joining our family! She will be grandchild number 21

for us and we are so excited to welcome her into our family! This will be

my last post for a while, as I will be off to help out with their little family.

I just wanted to share with you a beautiful place here...Fish Lake!

It is quite famous as a gorgeous place to go and fish or just enjoy for

a day or longer. There are so many cabins hidden in the mountains

by the lake that you will never see as you go there. I just love all the

cabins and wanted to share them with you.

This is an old one I just love, probably from the 50's.

I love that old fashioned green color.

I would love to spend the afternoon out on this deck, surrounded by

the scent of the pine trees and the chirping of the squirrels and birds.

A quiet road that leads from one cabin to the next.

I really love the older cabins the very best.

This is nice though, I wouldn't say no to this one!

This one looks pretty sturdy, love the rock.

I could stay here for a good week, see the hammock, love it!

A gorgeous big lake and the fish caught here are HUGE!

Right on the road but still very cute!

Love this one, see the stain glass window in it? It had a hot tub

right there off the deck too, that would be awesome!

I could spend days here on this swing...

with a good book, a diet Pepsi and soft pillows.

Another old one, love the rock steps someone put into the hill.

Give me a soft old quilt and a pillow and I would love to go lay down

here in the tall grass and just listen to the leaves rustle in the breeze.

I love this very old one with it's hand made rock fireplace, hidden in the trees.

This one is old too but so well taken care of, everything so neat.

I just love all these old ones I guess, this is way cute!

Tiny but perfect for a cozy stay in the mountains.

This one was really big..just beautiful!

Hey, this one is For Sale...and I am wanting to downsize...perfect!

I love the log post railing on this one...

I love Fish Lake...a beautiful place to go for a long

walk around the trail on the shore line, which I

have done many times, my favorite place to walk.

Look what I saw there...yes, Fall is here!

I hope you enjoyed the cabins of Fish Lake.

This past weekend I spent some time watching my SIL compete in a

Trials bike competitions, he won...he does every time! It's so amazing

what he can do and he does it with such steadiness and courage!

Giving his wife, our daughter a lift over to the next set of trials.

They are so cute, they have liked each other ever since 8th grade!

Here they are again...love this picture of a bit of the beauty of this place.

And their little girl Sophia...she loves everything

and enjoys it to the max...even sand and dirt! I hope

you are enjoying your Summer this much...I sure am.

I will be back after I get done with some mothering and

grand mothering...the thing I love doing most on this earth!

God be with and bless all of my friends and all others too who

are in the path of earth quakes and hurricanes. May God be with

you and yours, and keep you from any harm or danger .

A HORSERIDE...and...CAMPING WEEKEND.

There you are, always by my side sweet, sweet Cougar. Ready for an

adventure, but you first have to get those 2 big hugs, then we are off!

It's a gorgeous morning as I look out my windows, the morning sun,

coming around the mountain, just waiting for me to come out and play!

Off we go with our horses to Boulder Mountain, a beautiful place to ride.

They are excited too as we saddle them up, they love to get out and go!

Gorgeous views everywhere I look, it almost doesn't seem real.

We head out and into the trees, heading up, up, up!

It's so quiet...except for the birds talking at us and the sound of

the horses feet and their breathing and snorting. We stop to give them

rests as it's a hard climb. They are such good horses, so trustworthy.

Big old tall Ponderosa trees everywhere...my favorite tree.

It smells so good...I love the smell of the pines,

my horse, and my warmed leather saddle.

This is about as good as it gets...or as my husband says;

"This is as much fun as you can have with your cloths on!"

Yes, ladies, I know...but he always says it anyway! LOL

He has what they call, a kind eye...one sign of a good horse,

and he loves me as I love him...it shows in his eye, and mine.

I love him from his head...

to his cute butt!

My hat and spurs....On a day like today, I think that there is

nothing wrong with this old world that a sensible woman could

not settle in an afternoon ride!

I see skies of blue, clouds of white...

and I think to myself, what a wonderful world!

Everything looks better from the back of a horse!

I thought this mushroom was so cool, it looked like a flower!

Home from our ride...pack up the trailer...and we're off to go camping!

I took Cougar's toy and I threw it and threw it for him until I was tired

of throwing it! I hung it in a tree to give me a rest and he sat right by it,

waiting for the, throw it game again!

I guess I wore him out finally...who can nap on a rock after all?

Only a happy, worn out Golden!

We had lots of good laughs...the kind where you laugh yourself silly!

I saw a big fat squirrel eating something over on a big rock...

when he left, I could see it still there on the rock, so I

walked over to see what it was...it was a great big old lime!

The little guy thinks he is in charge of the big guy, he tries real

hard to get that big toy, and sometimes he does too.

Time for resting after a good meal and all the work of the horse ride.

These two stood guard out the front windows of the

trailer, making sure their favorite guy is safe while he sleeps!

A beautiful mountain place and an old homesteaders cabin of long ago.

Beautiful places to go for a walk among the tall pines.

The old cowboy cabin...how would it be to live here?!

This beautiful mama was watching us. She let us get really close

to her though...it was so magical. "Nature speaks to those who listen."

She was as curious about us...as we were about her!

We had a wonderful weekend...our favorite kind of weekend!

Beauty everywhere we looked, what a neat way to feel close

to our Father in Heaven. I am so grateful for this beautiful earth!

I hope you had a great weekend too...

This bird chirping weather really is my

favorite kind of weather!
