Ahh, these days of Summer camping...the best of Summer times! A Perfect weekend!
Cougar trying to find HIS stick, he sticks his nose under the water, blowing bubbles, until he finds whatever he is looking for.
Looking out over the desert...you can really see forever~
We stopped in here for lunch...it's in the little tiny town of Boulder, right as you turn east to go over the Burr Trail. It is owned by a lady that moved here from Salt Lake. It has the nummiest food...my Blue cheese angus burger was out of this world and the piece of chocolate cake we shared was "melt-in-your-mouth delicious!!! We sat out on the patio and enjoyed every bite~
This Oak brush better not be telling me that Fall is on it's way...Summer just got here!
I LOVE wild pink roses
~ Ron says that this is the sacred grove of Boulder mountain~
Wild pink roses were every where and the warm sun made them smell so sweet!
Wild pink roses were every where and the warm sun made them smell so sweet!
Cougar, trying to be friendly...but when that little dog took a bite out of his lip, he had no chose but to pin him down with his chest and growl his big growl at him!
Yes, this little guy belonged to a neighboring camper, he was cute but fiesty!
A little walk before heading to bed...so peaceful, so beautiful.
Cougar loves his truck...he slept through the night without barking at all
Just as the sun was setting, looking out over the desert.
Our little spot up on the Boulder mountain...it smelled so good there!
A bouquet of wild flowers that my hubbie woke me up to...nice : )
My husband...the man who's hand I will reach for when I get to Heaven. To be honest, sometimes he drives me crazy! I've had a saying in my home for 27 years; "A successful marriage requires falling in love many times, always with the same person." It's so true... and little get-a-ways are great for keeping the love-light-burning!
~ This creek felt like the most peaceful place on earth~
The grass underneath the pines was really unusual and very pretty in the sun
Beautiful Oak Creek, I could have spent all day just hanging out here. We want to go back and camp right on this spot...Cougar loved it!
All anyone would need with this pretty sight, is a blanket and a picnic!
First of all: I hope my blog is not a boring one!!! I look at so many of your wonderful blogs; cute kids and their cute doings, your travels, your weddings. My blog doesn't seem to be quite so interesting, mine is filled with everything beautiful that I see; this place that I live, my pets, me and Ron, some of grandkids. We don't travel much, just our day to day lives to take from, so I hope you don't think we are too boring?!
We do however truly enjoy our life here in Wayne Co.~it's peaceful and we stay active, enjoying all the beauty around us. We went camping a few days ago and had SO much fun! Summer, has been a" long time coming"this year, so we plan to get out all we can and enjoy it while it's here!
P.S. There is one wonderful thing...it was the BEST of Times raising our family, we took many great vacation(something we never did when I was a child)...but these times of just Ron and I getting away together are so great! It's like honey-mooning all over again, no worries about kids and all the planning, packing, organizing, trying to please EVERYONE. Whenever we would go camping or vacationing, it really looked like we were moving, not just taking a trip. It was so much work...I don't think any of our kids will ever experience such a thing or really know what it was like. I wouldn't trade it for anything...it was hard, rewarding and fun! But these days of doing fun things with just me and my husband, are the best of times for us now.
I hope you'll all get out there and enjoy your Summer...enjoy each other!

I love your blog! It is so much fun to see your pictures and hear about your life :) I didn't get to know you as a child and this is such a great way for us to get to know each other. Your camping trip looks so tranquil and nice. You are right about vacationing and camping with kids, it is so much work! I can relate and I only have four. Love ya!!
Looks like a fun trip! I think I would like camping better if I had a comfy bed and warm trailer with a toilet. Cougar is getting even bigger than last time I saw him, if that is even possible. I loved all the pictures!
Looks like you had a fun camping trip. It's the perfect time of year to do that. I think were going camping this weekend as well. We'll have to get together and all go camping sometime.
Your pictures on Boulder mtn. look a lot like Ty's. He just went on a 50 mile backpacking trip on Boulder mountain in June and I am sure he had some of the same great views!
