FAMILY AND FUN....

My daughter Lindsey, who is a graphic designer, recently did this for a gal who has a cute
boutique. You can find Lindsey's design blog here...http://lindesyndesign.blogspot.com
She does great work and is very reasonable in her prices.

We have been gone for a bit but I will be here this week, so I will be around to visit you!

Recently we were leaving to be with family for a grand daughters baptism. As we left we
took our little dogs and loaded them up in the car to go with us. I have never seen our big
Golden, Cougar look so sad! His big sad eyes really broke my heart and I said to my husband;
"I wish we had a bigger vehicle so we could take Cougar too!" Then I got thinking...we do have
a very big trunk and it opens up into the car! So we made him a cushy bed in the trunk and
opened the opening up into the car...and just look at his happy face!

Our grand daughter Natalie sat by him and he snuggled up to her, he got
lots of petting and he was so happy. He would stick his head and paws through
and sleep on the arm rest and then sometimes he would go into the back and sleep.
He wasn't any trouble at all, we made lots of stops and took walks. He was just so
happy to be with us, and it was so fun to have him along with us!

My husband, and me with my arms full of 2 of our grands...Sophia and Brody.

This is the 8 year old getting baptized...Megan.

She has real long blond hair and big blue eyes, most
of the time she has bangs too but today we could see
every bit of her beauty and those blue eyes. She was SO
happy, her parents had bought her a gorgeous white dress and the
cutest shoes, she felt like a princess! I love that "one big tooth" grin!

Megan's family
Britton, Megan, our son Darin and his wife Laura.

We all went to Darin and Laura's for dinner after.
I think Sophia loved having "snow balls"...she was
pretty amazed by them!

~Nothing makes me happier than being with family~
I envision myself always surrounded by family for all my life
and for all eternity...that is what it's all about.

Brody loves eating olives just the way I do...one on every finger!

"Some"... of our family there to support Megan and her parents.
We will all be gathering at our home for Thanksgiving this year
and I am so excited!

After dinner, Megan brought out her guitar and played and sang
us some songs, I thought she was so brave and so sweet. She loves
to go duck hunting with her dad and she has a tiny little frog in her
room that she caught, and is feeding.

Our daughter Jennifer and her two kids, Gavin and Hannah.

This month, I have been thinking about, and am so grateful for the many miracles that fill
up my life. A year and a half ago, I nearly lost my life...(I had a hysterectomy and 2 weeks late hemorrhaged. Had to be life flighted after bleeding for 5 hours) I am SO very thankful
that I didn't die. I want to live as long as I can, always having my family to fill up my
life, always serving my fellow man and my God who gives me everything....
everything! I cannot think of one thing I have that is not a blessing from Him.

I believe that as we read the scriptures and say our prayers, talking to Him about
everything, miracles will happen for us. We are SO LOVED by Him, and all He asks from
us it to love others...not too hard I think.

Yes.. Heaven will be wonderful; with all those that we love.

Hope there's a little fishing, and a few picnic spots too :)

How blessed you are to have a wonderful family and a sweet grand-daughter.
Baptism is a great step in 'choosing the right.'

May you have a beautiful week, and happy preparations for that big Thanksgiving celebration that you are planning.

I don't remember that happening to you, Julie- Maybe I wasn't a follower back then...but it sounds like God had a further plan for your life and wasn't ready to take you home just yet. It's scary stuff though, isn't it?

I am glad that you were able to get together for the baptism and what fun you will have at Thanksgiving! xo Diana

Beautiful pictures of such beautiful grandchildren. Megan is beautiful and looks so precious in that dress.

I remember reading about your experiences two years ago. I can't believe time has flown by like that.

You are truly blessed and such an angel to so many.

Hi Julie!

I'm so glad that you are alright, and that you are with us! Isn't it funny that you can never even meet someone face to face, but still feel that kinship - thank goodness you were watched over and are still with us!

I love that you brought Cougar - he is adorable!

The baptism pictures are precious! Life is so good, and we truly have so much to be thankful for . . . eternal families are definitely at the top of that list!

Good to have you back!

Hugs,
Barb

I am happy you got to take Cougar with you. His feelings were probably so hurt when he didn't think he was going to go. I wonder how many times we disappoint our animals and have no idea that we do..

We are having Thanksgiving at our home this year also. I think there is a possibilty of over 21 people coming.

Hi sweet lady,
What precious photos of your beautiful family. Megan is so pretty and how nice that she plays the guitar and sings. Family is such a huge blessing. I will never understand people who cannot love their own children and grandchildren as much as they love themselves, never mind more. My kids have two people in their lives like that, impossible to imagine!

That puppers! What a face. Our Millie always travels with us and has to be right in the middle of things. She acts so sad if we try to get her in the back of the SUV like we think she is a dog or something.

It sounds like you have a lot to celebrate in your life right now.
