CATCHING UP WITH OUR GRANDS....

This is Claire in her darling "flapper girl" look...

Welcome to my new private blog, so glad you
found me here!

Our daughter Lindsey, with their Sophia at a dance class.
She takes Sophia about every week and Sophia loves it!

Sophia also loves it when her mom stops in to dad's work...
she gets to climb up in the big cat with daddy and drive!

Ahhh...nothing better than Elmo and a snugly blanket
and a favorite video, life is good for 19 month old Sophia.

She loves her baths and bubbles too, just like all of us girls!

After her bath, it's so fun to get into her little pink bathrobe.

Sophia with her little buddies, Elmo and Ernie.

Caleb is 41/2 now, and boy oh boy does he have fun with lots of
super hero characters! He really gets into it too and he becomes
that character totally!

Claire and her mommy Tiffany...a heart to heart love story!

Ella loves to have baths with Claire...she is right there to keep her
safe and above the water! They really love one another so much.

~Darling little Claire~

Ella loves reading stories to her puppy!

Ella and Caleb love to look at their families new blog book.

Caleb...Claire...Ella
What a sweet little family.

Cloe and Emry, cute little monkeys up the tree in their new back yard.

This is our first great grandson, Tracen. As you can
see, he has just turned 2...such a cutie!

We think that he has the happiest little face...

Such a handsome boy!

Claire is 6 months old...what a beauty!

We love her big dark eyes, and she has the sweetest personality too.

I really love this little bundle of softness and lace...
she is just plain fun to hold and love on!

We are doing lots of work on our new little house,
(see my last post) this weekend we will be busy
painting and putting up a picket fence. I am sure
we won't get it all done for awhile but it is so fun
to be doing it!

I am so glad you found your way to my blog...
going private was a big step for me and I am
still trying to get the hang of it. Thanks so much
to my daughter Tiffany for switching it over for me.

I don't know what I would do without my daughters
Tiffany and Lindsey who I call often for help with all
things computer! They have a good laugh at me but
then they jump in and help me get things right.

Going private was important...you know how I love posting
lots of pictures of our grands! I then publish my blog posts
into a book. I just got my new book in the mail, (my daughter
Lindsey did that for me) and it is so beautiful, I'll share that
with you next post.

THANKS FOR FOLLOWING ME STILL...

NEW HOUSE....WEDDING....MY BLOG IS GOING PRIVATE

SPRING... is officially supposed to be here, right?

Well, I don't see it anywhere do you? It is so cold here,
I just want to go hide under the covers all day! I am so
done with winter this year, we really have not had that
much snow but it has been cold!

It really is beautiful when we get some snow here...
the red rock surrounding our home just makes it all so pretty.

These views are all around our home, and we do enjoy it.

A bit of sun makes everything even more beautiful.

It really makes the colors pop!

The gate coming into our place...hard to see during the storm.

Me and our little granddaughter Sophia at another granddaughters
basketball game. We attended our local caucus meetings the other
night. During the opening prayer, some guys cell phone went of real loud
with; "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly"...only in redneck country!

Some of our family was in St. George, Utah...the southern and warm
part of the state this past weekend for a daughters wedding. We ate out
one night at Pizza and Pasta Factory...it was so so good! This old fire
engine sat out front and the little ones had fun on it.

Sophia loved that all the trees had lights on them.

Me and our fun little Sophia girl.

After dinner my husband always has to have a tooth pick...
and apparently so does Sophia...twiners for sure!

This place is just a cute little block full of art galleries and stores and eating places.

Jennifer and Brian Harris

Our daughter Jennifer married a nice man this weekend.
It is a second marriage so they wanted to keep it real
small with just immediate family.

It was a real nice wedding, our son in law Michael and I, sang a song for it.

Brian's grandpa and his sister Patty.

Jen and Brian with the missionaries who have had a big hand in good
things happening. We wish for them much happiness and a good life.

Also in St. George this weekend, the air force Blue Angels were putting
on an air show, so exciting.

We have bought a home in St. George, this hike is not too far away
and there are so many beautiful places to explore there.

This is our 1937 corner cottage home that we have bought in St. George.

It was so amazing how we found it, we had been looking for a home there
for 9 months. The realtor had shown us nothing but short sales, foreclosures
or trash! Almost anything that comes up for sale is gone in a blink and we just
could not find anything. We feel like the Lord lead us to this home for sure.

One day, we drove right on to this little home, there was a 8 x 11 homemade
sign under a scrub and a tiny sign in the side window. We got looking at it and
we liked what we saw, called the number and the lady selling it met us to show
us the home. She didn't want anything to do with relaters and that was just fine
with us. She is a very wealthy woman and had bought it for her son and his wife.

This is a side view of the house.

Turns out that her son couldn't find work and his wife mostly wanted to
go back home where her family was, so it was for sale. It is 2,000 sq. feet
bigger than it looks. It can have 5 bedrooms if we wanted, 2 full baths, air
conditioning, new plumbing and heat. A fenced in yard in back and it sits
right in the historic district of St. George. There is a really nice park with
a water feature and old pioneer building and carousel 2 blocks north of our
little home. The main city park is 3 blocks east of us and the beautiful
St. George Temple is 3 blocks from us, this street is not a through street,
so it's quiet with hardly any traffic.

The first thing we are going to do is put a white wood picket fence all
around the front yard and work on a little more curb appeal.

The side we park on, the house is open an all sides and I love that.

This is the back yard, see the old grape vines there, they
have been around for about 100 years, and they still produce.

Another side view...I love the old windows in it!

We stayed here for 3 days this past weekend, it was so warm, peaceful
and quiet. Then we drove home to snow and cold! There is just enough
in the home for me to do to have some fun. I want to do some painting
and new window treatments and a stone counter top, it will be lots of
fun. Turns out that this is a great time to buy with interest rates so low,
everything has just fallen in place.

I can't wait to pretty it up with a picket fence, take care of the rose bushes
and flowers already planted, add bird houses and bird baths and hammocks.
I am in love with all the little birds in the trees too, so pleasant to sit and listen,

"No matter what, no matter where...
It's always home if LOVE is there."

I haven't been blogging because I have spent the last week or so
packing and planning. It has been a busy couple of weeks!

See the little tower right behind this white temple? Well, our home
is 2 blocks from that little tower... I love this historic district.

This is just one angle of St. George...such a beautiful city!
Some day we will be there full time but not yet, for now we will be
there as much as we can on weekends.
