The beautiful St. George temple, all lite up to symbolize the
light of Jesus Christ...so gorgeous as Fall and Christmas
come together.
The nativity that sits out in front of the temple.
I have been spending as much time as possible at our sweet
St. George home. It is still Fall there, warm temps and the
leaves are still falling from the trees.
Our little Sophia loved getting tossed into a big pile of leaves,
I tried it too but my land was a bit of a thud! We have a very old
Mulberry tree and she is dropping those big leaves beautifully.
Our sweet little Jonah
We sure do love this little guy that has come into
our family, he's such a handsome, sweet little boy.
I have so been enjoying the weather here in St. George, it's
20 degrees warmer than where our Bicknell home is, so it's
still Fall here but with Christmas going on at the same time!
It's kind of funny to see palm trees decorated with Christmas
lights...but it's awesome!
The old tabernacle, built by pioneers. The whole block around
it is decked out with Christmas lights, wow, it is so fun to walk
around under the lights in warm temps.
In the hot summer, they have a water park here that our grands
love to enjoy, but now it's all about Christmas. Way up on the hill
you can see the big "D"... that stands for Dixie, that's what it was
called because the pioneers raised cotton here.
A front shot of the old tabernacle, they have
a different Christmas program here every night.
I have so enjoyed going to several of them.
Over at Temple Square, they have many very
beautiful displays, here they had nativities from
all over the world.
This too is on Temple square, in the summer and fall this spot
is full of so many roses, here it's all full of lights, so pretty!
There is a life size nativity set up out in front of
the temple, music and spoken word plays as you
stand there taking it all in, very spiritual.
Ron and I went to the lighting ceremony, they
had a speaker and choir, then the lights all went
on at the same time to lots of oohs and ahhs.
Out kids came down and we all enjoyed walking
all around looking at the beauty of the St. George
temple grounds.I can still hardly believe that we
are so blessed to live just 2 blocks from this most
beautiful temple!
I found this sweet little painting at a thrift shop, I just loved
because I love snowmen. I added a ribbon and hung it on our
front porch.
I hung this red berry wreath on our front door,
added a big silver bow and reindeer and red
glittered letter...JOY... from the wreath.
I have only decorated one house this year, our
St. George house. This is our little tree from
outside the window.
And this is it from the inside, it's only four and
a half feet tall but we love it, much different from
our 9 foot tree at the other house!
have that loved to climb the 9 foot tree and hid
in it's branches!
I hope you are all having a wonderful December...

Julie what a wonderful (and sparkley) Christmas post. It all looks beautiful. One couldn't help but be in the Christmas spirit there with all that's available to see and do. My best Christmas wishes to you dear sis...In this season...our hearts together say Happy Birthday Jesus...best gift EVER given. xoxo ((hugs)) *ps That little guy is precious.
What a wonderful post, Julie- I love catching up on your life and what is going on. Your life is certainly different than it was a year ago. It sounds like you are adapting beautifully. Blessings- xo Diana
What a great picture of you and your husband. You look so happy in your St. George home.
We are simplifying and downsizing but not moving. It's easier to slow down with the kids all grown and with their own families.
I hope your season is full of love and happiness.
I love that photo of you and your hubby.I just want to run over and Hug ya.
Christmas lights are so fun to see I think. I think the St. George temple is sooooo beautiful.
That baby...I just want to stick my nose in his little neck and breath in all that sweet baby smell.
I have a son whose wife is expecting their 3rd in July. Can't wait.
The children are beautiful Julie. What beautiful sights to enjoy at the Temple. It would be great to see it first hand ... maybe one day. I am sure you are having a grand time decorating your new home ... Have missed you, but know you are so enjoying the family.
IF I don't hear from you, may you & your entire family have a beautiful & blessed Christmas season & celebration.
TTFN ~
Hugs of love,

St. George still looks so festive, even without the snow :)

You live in an amazing and gorgeous town! I would love to visit there someday.
And that new little baby is just so adorable, I bet you love rocking him!
Sorry I am so late. With my Mom's stroke, things have just been so changed around here. I have been helping with her and taking care of Addison too.
