" FOR THOSE WHO TRUST HIM "

The other day a little bird flew into my window, I got up and looked at where it went, it was sitting on the porch . My big golden retriever looked at it then went over to it and gently gathered it into his mouth and went and laid on the lawn with it. I went out and got it, it was dazed and tried to fly but could not. I sat on the porch with it on my lap for awhile, finally it tried to fly but couldn't seem to get going, so I picked it up again and tossed it into the air and off it flew, much to my delight!

I got to thinking how much the Savior loves each of us and takes such good care of us. How kind he is to us and to all the creatures he has created. How he loves us and them and even tells us to pray for and be good to our little animals.

I love to sing this song and have a testimony that the words are true;

~Consider The Lilies~

Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow, how they grow.
Consider the birds of the sky, how they fly, how they fly.
He clothes the lilies of the field. He feeds the birds in the sky,
and He will feed those who trust him, and guide them with his eye.

Consider the sheep of his fold, how they follow where he leads,
Tho' their paths may wind across the mountains,
He knows the meadows where they feed.

Consider the sweet, tender children, who must suffer on this earth.
The pains of all of them He carried from the day of His birth.
He cloths the lilies of the field. He feeds the lambs of His fold,
and He will heal those who trust Him, and make their hearts as gold.

He cloths the lilies of the field. He feeds the lambs of His fold,
and He will heal those who trust Him.
and make their hearts as gold.

I have learned to trust Him in my life time...through tough trials I have gone through. I love Him with all my heart, might, mind and soul. I know He is there to take care of us and asks us to take care of each other and all living creatures too. His will... is my will, because...I TRUST HIM.

That was a cool story about the bird. Leave it to you to be rescuing little birds. That is one of my favorite songs too, I learned it really well in choir in college. I love it.

Okay Julie, all you have to do is write the words to a beautiful song the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sings and you have a person here crying over the keypad big time!

Wish I could sing beautifully...since I don't, I will listen with all my heart. Thanks for tying in the story and the song.

I LOVED learning about you on your last post too, will comment on it later.

It's nice to find your blog. I was so happy to here that the little bird flew. I just posted myself about the verse 'consider the lilies', it was my grandmother's favorite verse. I'll be checking back soon. Btw, you are beautiful and look way too young to have grandchildren, let alone 19!
Blessings,
Marcia

Glad you were there to aid the sweet little bird -- I've had that happened to us on more then a few times -- those poor things smack right into the window -- making me jump out of my sit -- but I've not had to help on get going again. Sweet way you used the event on how the lord helps us get on our way -- I too know He love us and cares for us all! Kristeen kandgough@gmail.com

This is a lovely post. Especially the part about your dog so gently taking the hurt bird in his mouth. They remember, I think. They remember.

My grandson told me we needed to stop the car and go back on a very busy SLC street this past week, because he saw a bird laying on its side in a gutter.
We couldn't turn around and I told him in the scriptures it says not even a sparrow will fall from the sky with out Heavenly Father knowing and he was already was being taking care of of the tiny bird. Sam wiped his tears.
Thanks for sharing your sweet story and most of all your testimony. You truly are a love!
I went and took pictures of that statue at the mortuary today if you are interested:)

Once again a beautiful post Julie. I am so thankful for my Heavenly Father and for His son Jesus Christ and all that they have done for me in my lifetime, and all that they continue to do. I don't know where I would be without my faith in them and their tender care for me.

Good morning Julie, what a beautiful posts to wake up to. I have been flat down with something the last two days. But this morning I turned on my computer to find your post and your bird and your song. I sing, so I couldn't help but sing your song as I read it. My thoughts are on Ephriam and the Manti temple. So many years of my life were spent down there with my grandparents and my wedding and my daughters wedding.

Did you ever figure out if you know Debbie Plummer, in Ephriam? She works in an Attorneys office. We both are Allreds from Ephriam.

My Testimony is built around my Trust for him. He lives, he knows me and is with me.

Thank you Julie,
