SEWING...BABIES...PUMPKINS

I just had to share this, it just made me laugh when I saw it.
Ella Mae and her cute smile with those baby teeth and who
can say enough about the up-do...what a hair style! LOL

This is Sophia in her blessing dress that we bought for her.
I think she looks just like a little doll in this picture!
She will receive a name and a blessing this Sunday.

My daughter Tiffany took these pictures...
she and her sister Lindsey had so much fun being
together the other morning taking these of Sophia.

I think they did a great job! As good as any real photographer even!
Now that was spoken like a proud mother wasn't it! LOL And I am indeed.

I love this shot from over head too. The little doll that they were
taking pictures of sure helped too. We just can't get enough of this
little beauty! And she is so so sweet too...always happy and smiling!

See....always smiling and she loves to hold her hands like this...
her daddy says that she is texting her brothers and sisters up
in Heaven, telling them about everything here at their home on earth!

It looks like she is pulling her dogs hair but not so.
She loves her doggie Charlie Brown and he sure loves her!

She loves her bath...I was so amazed because in this
picture she looks like me as a baby! Looks like she is
getting just about too big for those sink baths!

Such sweetness comes sailing out of those eyes
and right into all of our hearts! What a sweet
gift from God she is...what a blessing to have a
baby in the home and family...nothing like it!

Sweet baby cheeks...just made for grandma kisses!

I made these two little Halloween dresses...
one for Ella and one for Sophia...yes, I am having fun!

I also made some pillows for my leather couches.
The stripped ones are just place mats sewn together
and stuffed with a small airline size pillow, very quick!

I have strong colors in my home... it is a more rustic type of home...
browns and reds and oranges and the colors of suede...it fits where we
live and it fits us...it has kind of a western..south west feel to it all.

I wonder what Jack and his buddy here are looking at...

Could it be these very large pumpkins?!
Maybe so, it is that time of year you know!

This is my sons home and these pumpkins were grown by Darin and his family...
right in their little back yard garden. I thought they were just
awesome... Perfect for Halloween time! I don't know what they
fed them but they sure did good!

*** I was featured on a very sweet blog today***

http://5minutesjustforme.blogspot.com

I hope you can go check it out...
Natasha is the sweetest lady you
will ever want to meet!

I have done a big post today because I will be gone for a few
days...a little vacation for the hub and I. It has been about 22
years since just he and I had a real vacation, we were always
taking kids along, so we are really looking forward to this. I
will catch up with all of you, my sweet friends, as soon as I get back!

We got snow in our surrounding mountains last night and now it is
pouring solid rain and tornado warnings for here...that's a new thing for here!

Sending all my love and best wishes to each of you!

Oh my gracious. Those babies are so sweet. Sophia is such a wonderful smiler. The photo of her in her blessing dress with her hands folded together.....couldn't get better than that.
I LOVE big pumpkins. I would try growing them, but the neighborhood critters would get at them. We have a ton of rabbits, squirrels, birds, fox and coyotes. And the worst RATcoons. I think if I had a BB gun, I would sit up waiting for them. Maybe I will buy one of the boys a BB gun for Christmas. A Red Ryder. Have you seen that movie? A Christmas Story?

Hi Julie
Thanks for your comments. Love all the photos on this post. Your daughter did a fantastic job and can be very proud of that. Jack may have picked up some kind of parasite outside. Do you have fleas there? If you do, the best way to see if he has them is to buy a flea comb at you pet sotore and comb him to see if there is any flea-dirt (small Black, sand-like) Fleas get up around the neck and can drive them crazy. If it is an allergy it may be wise to take him off grain foods. You can purchase grain-free food for cats at your local pet store. I would try a few things before putting him on the meds as they have side-effects. Hugs, Deb

Oh honey everytime I get a glimpse into your life I leave with the happiest heart. Your grandbabies are just so precious. God has really blessed you honey with beautiful children and now grandchildren. Nothing better than doing a post about your babies.
I have to agree with you their picture taking was really professional and of course their model helped out a lot.
That dress is absolutely stunning wow is all I can say.
Love your pumpkin dresses too.
I caught up while I was here and I nearly choked on my breakfast when I read 14 bedrooms and almost that many baths and your brother-in-laws home. For 15 years I dreamed of a log cabin but not one this size. haha
Do they need a crazy maid from Texas to help them out or is there a single brother running around that needs a ole woman from Texas. lol
Just think Julie and Maggie sister-in-laws how cool would that be.
You could teach me so much.
Ok time to stop daydreaming
Love
Maggie
