SUMMER HAPPENINGS HERE....

(Doing my Shelia thing! LOL)

This post is pretty random so hang on...
It's just some things we have been up to
so far this summer.

A visit to Cabela's...my husbands favorite place....
seeing the displays there~

See that happy smile...what man wouldn't like to come here?

This guy reminds me of the moose I walked right
into one morning on my walk at Fish Lake!

I had just rounded the bend in a trail and walked right into him (this close too) as he was having his breakfast. Thank goodness my golden retriever had good sense, he came right to my side and ever so quietly pushed against my hip as if to say..."Keep walking!" or I might have been in trouble!

My husbands big dream...

Lots of horse rides going on here...we saddle up and take of in any direction~

I saw this darling picture up at a nearby lodge...
just had to share it with you, I think it is SO cute!

This little baby cottontail bunny came to my house for a visit...isn't he cute?!

He was as calm as can be...it was so fun to hold him!

Our little cat found him down by the hay stack, I think she thought he was a baby kitty, so she hauled him up to the house. Ron found him just sitting by our door, so he picked him up and brought him in to show me. He wasn't hurt or anything, we'd put him down and he'd hop around. We enjoyed him for a bit then Ron took him back down to the hay stack where they all live, and let him go. I had never seen one this close up or held one...it was so fun!

A most beautiful sunset....

This had been a crazy moment, just before this peaceful sunset,
we had the wildest rain storm filled with lightening...very unusual here!

We have had lots of gray, cloudy days with rain...this whole summer has felt very strange!
It's not like that here...mostly dry with lots of sun...but it has been a blessing to have the rain.

Ron just out with the horses, letting them graze on the green feed and enjoying the sunset~

Our little grandson Kelton...playing T-Ball...
mostly comparing teeth with the little girl there on 3rd base!

And Brody swinging at the ball...this age is so funny to watch...
most of the time they have no idea what is going on...but they are so cute!

And last...more tourists...stopping to take pictures of us...
I hope they see me taking pictures of them! LOL

I had a lady leave a comment the other day...
she said she had passed by my home but didn't dare intrude
by stopping to say hi. I want all my blog friends to know that if you come this
way...and pass my home...I want to you stop and say hi...you are
always WELCOME here! We'll sit out on the deck and enjoy a diet Pepsi
and have a good old chat!

I hope you are all having a great Summer so far...
I think maybe this week we will be getting that new
grand child...keeping my fingers crossed!

Wow, if I am ever out that way in Cowgirl Heaven, I will stop by and sit on your porch with you and have that cold Pepsi...
Hope you get your grandchild this week. WOOT what a blessed grandmama!
And I had to laugh at the teeth comparing. At least it wasn't two little boys comparing their protective "cups" like I saw on a funny video... LOL!!!!!!
Have a great Monday, love the pics.
Hugs sent to you. Enjoy those gorgeous God-given sunsets.

Love that they were comparing teeth on the baseball field!
I have never been to Cabelas!

Such a cute bunny! Did your husband say, "Look what the cat drug in!"

I wonder how many people have a picture of your beautiful home!

Oh I would definitely be knocking on your door if I was driving by, especially if I have been reading your blog :) what a great opportunity to meet a fellow blogger, even if only for an hour! Shame the lady didn't stop.
Love all your photos, awww and that cute baby bunny, I would have hung on to him for probably too long ;)
Have a lovely Monday.

Loved the randomness of your post. I wish I could get up that way and have that Diet Pepsi with you. Your place is alike a dream. It's absolutely breath taking. Your life looks like it's in a movie--horses, bunnies, Cabelas, babies--it's ideal. You are blessed!

Such wonderful pictures. I think your home is so beautiful, no wonder people stop to take pictures. If I lived closer I'd come over for a Diet Pepsi for sure. Love the comparing teeth picture. Love the wildlife.....I would have passed out running into the moose. We had a skunk in our front yard last night.....now that isn't good.
Enjoy your summer. ((((HUGS))))

How funny...I am a diet Pepsi girl too...addicting...I can't get going in the morning without my caffeine fix...but I do limit myself to one a day! Love the pic of kids comparing teeth...my second oldest who is now 25, use to sit in the outfield during t-ball with his mitt on his head because he was so bored.

Sorry for the caution...cause I sure am on my way one of these days. I'd love to attend your temple too and we'll go out for dinner...our treat!

Great photos. No Cabela's nearby, but we have a Bass Pro one hours drive away and visit fairly ofen. The guys love it (so do I actually, I just wish they had a bigger decor section.)

The grandkids are very cute. The photos remind me of my boys (now 11 and 13) at that age. Precious.

I think it is so funny, but not surprising considering your view, that folks keep stopping by. I know I would!

Good Morning !
Great pictures! Looks like you are having a great summer and making lots of memories. You have to admit... your white house against the red hills is very striking :)
I'm wondering if Ron thought that you going to Gardner Village was a good leverage point to let him go to Cabelas :)
Have a great day !!

Karen Deborah said...

I would love to stop by and have a nice cold drink and a chat. I'm amazed you could hold that little bunny it must be very young. What a neat treat. This whole post was a fun neighbor lady chat. Can't wait to hear about the newest baby!! The one that had the fanciest baby shower I ever saw!

Why don't we have puppy showers?

Good morning, Julie! Love your summer so far! Cabela's IS fun, isn't it?! And that baby bunny is just so adorable!

Just a warning...next time I go home the southern way (always seem to head up north to California these days!) I AM stopping by for the Diet Pepsi & a chat! That would be so fun!

Just got home a couple of days ago--it WAS very strange weather the three weeks we were there...enjoyed a couple of those thunder storms!

Hope you're having a marvelous day!

Did you get some fudge while you were at Cabella's?
Your summer looks like it's been a good one.
I thought about you when we were sorta down in your neck of the woods......we went for a visit down to Cove Fort, and were going to go down to Mountain medows, but decided we didn't want to drive that far, we almost went over your way to see the view.
Enjoy your day.

Oh my that bunny is just adorable! I think I would have wanted to keep her! So soft and cuddly! I had a lot of catching up to do on your posts! You do so well getting them out regularly. The pictures are so nice, I love the one of your two horses. They look so well cared for and happy. The quilts were just FANTASTIC! It makes me want to get down in my sewing room and get back at it but summer is so short here I don't want to be inside for long. All of the quilts were fabulous, the one with the three cowgirls is just a hoot! Love all the goodies you found at the antique shops!!! What wonderful shops, wish we had some like that around here. Planning on hitting a few next week nearer the coast so hope to find some treasures. Take care and enjoy your beautiful home and setting!!

Hi Julie!
Oh your baby bunny is so adorable!
Years and years ago, my oldest 'rescued' a baby bunny from the fate its other sibs had... and kept it in an old guinea pig cage for a few weeks, letting it out with her supervision... After the cat no longer came around... she let it go. She named him Ralph and all bunny rabbits that live in and around our yard have been referred to as "The Descendants of Ralph"
true!

Your photos are an awesome collection of SUMMER JOY!
Wishing you more JOY, Julie!

Your summer sounds like is have been heavenly. We have a lot of rabbits and bunnies in our yard. They are so much fun to watch. Luckily so far they are eating the clover in my lawn instead of veggies in my raised beds!
Hugs,
Penny
p.s. I am following you :-)

Such beautiful photos.
Wow! I can't believe the bunny let you hold him. We have TONS of bunnys around our place. Parents and babies alike, but none of the babies let us near them. We have a bunny of our own (Shadow) he's a mini Holland lop and he is a sweetie, just like a puppy.
I have to laugh at the Diet Pepsi remark in your post. You'll have to read the latest post on my blog to see why I'm laughing.
Have a great day.

Hi Julie,

Cabella's is on our list of summer fun too. Jim loves that place also. It is rather unique. We found one in Ca that is similar but for fishing only. Personally I like Taipan better! Jen and I are going there on Thursday!

Your home seems like a large personal paradise~you must love it.

thank you for all your wonderful comments on my blog. I will get better about getting around to all my sweet blogging friends soon.

I hope your little pink princess comes this week!

If I am every in your area, don't worry~ I'll stop by. Could you just imagine how fun that would be? And the invite goes right back at you! Don't you want to come visit the Amish... or me?
Love my visits to you!
