THREE DAY TRIP...

This little boy is so brave! And he thinks he can fly!

And after watching him do this, over and over, I am
starting to think that maybe he can fly! He envisions
himself as all kinds of super hero's, and he is so into
the zone when he is a super hero!

I went to see some of my kids and visit with them and
some sweet little grands for three days...that was a bit of
grandma heaven for me...I have to do that every once in
a while to get my portion of sweetness filled up again.

I went with one of my daughters and her little family to tour the
Iron Mission in Ceder City, Ut. It is a great place to visit and our
ancestors had much to do settling this area, so it always brings a
wonderful feeling and connection to them to see things like this.

Sophia sitting atop a big old horse, she thought that was so fun!

Lindsey and Michael and Sophia in the US Mail stagecoach.

You've got mail grandma!

The white hearse was used just for children

A huge wooden water tank hauler

A snow sleigh...what fun that would be!

An old fashioned kitchen, reminds me of my grandma.

These carriage's were so beautifully restored, what a treasure they are.

Some were left as they were found, this was an over-land stage,
it looked like a rough and very dusty way to travel to me!

I liked this picture of the old days in Ceder...love the old
cars and look at that snow! I haven't seen snow like that
at all this year, we still haven't had any snow this winter!

Cutie-pie Sophia peeking out of her blankie...always smiling!

~Lindsey's cute little family~

Sophia loves her rubber ducky with the big red beak!

And she loves her little doggie Tinkerbell...

And Tinkerbell loves her baby Sophia...

They are always hanging out together!

These two are our littlest grand daughters...Sophia and Ella.

Caleb kissing Sophia's little hand..sweet!

Tiffany has two little poodles, Ollie and Tucker and they
just have to get some grandma hugs too!

I love to sit on the floor and play with my little grands!
I get so I don't even hear what the adults in the room
are saying. It's so fun to be into the grands that much!

Sophia snuggling with her grandpa

Ella, she is the new centerpiece of the table I think...
so cute as she shares in every one's meal! She is such
a dynamic, loving little child and what a snuggler too!

Here at home, we just stay warm...
Zak loves to be snuggled in a blanket

Bo with his little butt hanging off the back of the chair...

A toasty place to be.

I stopped into a little antique shop the other day and saw these...
I just love the polka dot gloves, they remind me of the 50's, so cute!

I found this darling vintage apron which I really loved!

It even looked cute hung over the kitchen valance but I
think I will just hang it on the hall tree above. Sorry ladies,
but this one will not be in a give a way, this one I am keeping!

Speaking of a GIVE A WAY...
that is just what I will be doing
for my next post, so stay tuned!

Grandma I think that cute little guy needs a superman cape!! He is pretty brave!

I love museums like that. All the old stuff really fascinates me. I would love to spend a day back in time just to see what it was really like because in this day and age looking back it is kind of romanticized in my mind :-D

Your little grands are darling!

I didn't know about the Iron Mission or we would have visited last year. I love old pioneer stuff! Your little grandkids are so cute...aren't they so much fun to be around. They keep us young or wear us out! Love the gloves and apron...it looks so cute hung up. You haven't had snow but hasn't it been cold? My family says Cache Valley has been cold this winter. AZ has been cool too but I like it around 60 degrees anyway! Have a great day.

So glad we have Super Hero's in training! Good flying skills :)
The Iron Mission looks very interesting.
Your family is divine!
The snow picture~ even though we have had much snow here in Indy lately, I too haven't seen snow days like when I was young. It was different back then in the 60's & 70's.
I love the gloves & apron! I have started collecting aprons, and always enjoy wearing when cooking family meals. The gloves are just adorable!
You furry babies are too cute with their jackets! I love my furry babies too.
A give away? ohhh!
I tried to do one on my blog but only have two that want to participate! I have one spot left but no one wants me to make them something :( Im not as crafty as I wish :)

Julie anytime you'd like to share those babies I'd be happy to smooch them up for awhile! You had a great time. I can't get over little Ella being nekkid it's ben so cold here! And it's amazing that you haven't had any snow. It's so cold tonight we might get a sprinkle of it.

Darlene said...

The reason you guys don't have any snow is that it's all landed here in North GA. We have had about 5 snow "storms" here in GA since Nov. On Christmas day (first time since 1883 that it's snowed on Christmas day), we had 11 INCHES. Then two weeks ago, we had 9 INCHES - IN GA! Yeah, the old-timers say it used to snow like that here all the time. But this is the most snow I've seen in the 16 years I've lived here.

Bad thing is, nobody owns snow plows, snow shovels or chains, including the local counties. They use road-graders to try and scrape it and then dump a salt/sand mixture on it. So life stops until it melts. The local kids have lost all of their days off for most of the rest of the year. And we're getting more this afternoon.

I think my neighbors would like to send some back to you guys. You ready for it? lol

G'day to my dear friend Julie! It looks like you have been a busy Grandma lately. I can't believe how quickly your grands are growing. Sophia is looking prettier every time I see her.

Thanks so much for popping in and leaving such sweet messages during my bloggy break too Julie. I think I have finally got my "mojo" back and am ready to get back into it again. It was so wonderful to see Australia celebrating yesterday and putting the heartache of the last few weeks behind us for a day.

Hope the rest of your week is wonderful and thanks for being a wonderful bloggy friend.

Best wishes,
Natasha.
