MY SUMMER BABIES...and...A FROZEN DELIGHT.

Oh, what have we been up to little pony dear?
Ask your Teddy bear friends if we should share.

We are getting ready for a sweet new baby grand daughter!
Gathering everything beautiful and lovely to welcome this new
little spirit from heaven into our family. Her name will be Claire.

I have been making baby blankets full of not only batting, but LOVE!

A Vintage looking blanket full of sweet things baby Claire will love.

Baby Nursery animals, to welcome little
Claire with love... and keep her company.

Baby elephants and such, to sing her little songs
and tell her stories... that only they can tell!

Blankets to snuggle round her, as soft as can be, while
Mom & Dad hug her tight for songs of good night.

I love making baby blankets for my grands!

Sophia...Ella...Brody...Caleb, sweet little cousins.
All setting on a quilt I made... to watch the parade with their cotton candy.

~Cloe and her little sister Emry~
We will be heading up for Cloe's baptism soon...
we are wondering which will happen first, the new
baby coming, or Cloe's baptism!!!

Brody being so brave with his sparklers!

Our daughter Lisa holding her little niece Sophia...

*****

I hadn't made this for awhile, but with Summer here now,
it sounded good to me, being that it is a frozen dessert.

"FROZEN DELIGHT"

Set... 1/2 gallon of Vanilla ice cream and
1 small can frozen Pink lemonade out on
the counter and let it thaw til soft. Then whip
these together in a big bowl.

While the above was thawing, crush some Periwinkles
or Vanilla wafers and lay them into a 9x13 pan.

After mixing the ice cream and the frozen lemonade together,
pour it all over the crushed crumbs in the pan. Now freeze it.

I didn't show it here, but I like to garnish the top with some of
the cookie crumbs also, makes it look nice and it is so tasty too!

This is a real good and easy dessert to have on hand instead of just
always having ice cream. I could eat the whole pan on a hot day!

~AND REMEMBER THIS~

~SENDING YOU MY LOVE~

I am amazed at all the wonderful thing's you do. My health has been an issue for me the last five or six year's, really longer than that but I would love to be like you....I loved to sew and all that but I have really been struggling. I really marvel at you.I used to make quilt's etc...I hope when I get to the bottom of all my trial's I will be back in swing. I used to go to the Boulder Mountain every summer...when summer was over our teacher would ask all the class what they did for the summer and everyone knew I had been to Boulder Mountain (King's pasture, grass lake)those were wonderful memories of my childhood. I also am a Mormon and so thankful for that.
Thank you for your inspiration.
Love,Debbie:)

Hey Julie,
What wonderful baby blankets you have made! Little Claire is already so very loved- what a lucky little girl!
That desert looks wonderful but I am wondering what I could substitute for the pink lemonade- I can´t buy frozen lemonade or any drinks frozen here in Norway and they are just starting to catch on to regular lemonade, let alone pink lemonade!!! So any suggestions?? Sure looked yummy!!!
Enjoy your Saturday night with your wonderful family!!

Well Grandma Julie, I typed out a long comment and it disappeared from my screen, so here goes again. That sweet vintage blanket that you made for baby Claire is wonderful, and reminds me of one that I made in college for whenever I had a baby girl. It became Kendra's favorite blankie when she was little. I am sure that blanket will be very special to her from her Grandma. I can't wait to welcome little Claire to the family too.
