BIRTHDAY GIRLS AND A BREAKFAST IDEA.....

I love this picture of our little grand daughter Emry fishing,

It's just full of sweetness to me. There is nothing as wonderful

as a little child, I am so glad that I have so many to love.

This is Cloe and it was her 8Th birthday, so her daddy took her fishing.

She looks like a happy girl to me..Happy Birthday sweet Cloe.

Sisters...a great way to grow up, a forever friend.

I love this picture of "their catch"...a happy day!

We get to go visit them here soon, can't wait!

This is Ella's 2 year old picture, taken by her mommy.

I think she did a great job and I just think it couldn't

be cuter but then I am her grandma! She reminds me

of Shirley Temple a bit.

Ella makes me laugh...she is really full of it! So full of joy and

teasing and she has the most contagious laugh that I love!

This was her dress up cake, her aunt made it, I thought it was so cute!

I love this picture of Ella looking at HER cake.

"All mine! Lets cut this cake please!"

Her daddy did this little project for her birthday, I think it

turned out so cute! I know she will just love her very own kitchen.

School is about to start here so I wanted to share a quick ides for

those early morning breakfasts for the kids. Hope you like it!

"TEDDY BEAR PANCAKES"

You will need:

3 cups of prepared pancake batter

60 Teddy Grahams

golden snacks, (any flavor).

3 cups of cut up assorted fruits,

blueberries, strawberries, bananas.

Powdered sugar and pancake syrup

Spoon prepared pancake batter by 1/4 cupfuls

onto a lightly greased griddle. (0r) A very handy

tip... fill an empty ketcup bottle with your batter,

this makes it so easy to squeeze out just the size of

pancake you want!

Lightly, press 5 bears into surface of each pancake.

Cook 1-2 minutes, turn and cook til golden brown.

Repeat, using remaining batter and bears.

Top each pancake with 1/4 cup of the fruit and syrup.

Sprinkle with the powdered sugar.

I hope everyone will enjoy that first morning of school!

*****

And I will close with something good to think about:

I love the...Is It Kind part of this. I just think it is so very important to be kind.

Thank you sweet ladies for all your kindness to me, I love you all. It's feeling

very Fall-ish here now. And to you who asked about the new car, it really does

get awesome gas mileage...43 and 50 on long trips..loving that!

Oh the sweetness of your dear, little grandchildren. They are just darling and such memories are being made. Love the fishing pictures. We use to delight in fishing with my Dad, when we were little and still love it.
That is one beauty of a cake. Such fun.
Thanks for the recipe. I love the beginning of fall and school. Love the weather, the colors, the fabric, the baking and cooking, sharpened pencils, backpacks...I miss the kids, but, love the season that is almost upon us. xo

Such cute grandkids! I love how their personalities shine through their photos!

Those pancakes would send any child off to school with a smile on their face! :)

HossBoss said...

Love the pictures! I bet all those grandchildren are just as enamored with their grandma as you are with them! And why not ...what's not to love?!

The teddy bear pancakes is a great idea! I used to make monogrammed pancakes for my kids when they were little. I would use a soup spoon to pour a little batter in the shape of their initial backwards, then pour a quarter cup of batter over the initial. The initial cooked just a few seconds longer than the rest of the batter so when you turned the pancake over, the letter was no longer backwards and it was just slightly darker than the rest of the pancake. But I think you teddy graham pancakes are a step up ...something I can look forward to doing with my grandchildren!

Hi Julie, We got such a kick out of your comment about the "fake" law enforcement in your town & how yours has a name. COOL! We didn't pass thru Capital Reef, but we'd like to. It looks like a very pretty area. ALSO what a great party. Lucky little girl.

You are easy to be kind to Julie. Like begets like.

Your beautiful grandkids always bring a smile. And where DO you get all of these beautiful cakes? I assumed that this one would be the from the same decorator as Sophie's. But you have two different cake artists at your disposal? Wow! One of my daughters is particularly impressed and watching closely. She just decorated her first cake and loves it!

Blessings, Debbie
