My daughter Lindsey painted this for me about
4 years ago when she was in high school. I have
always loved it and I have always loved chickens.
I was raised on a farm and we always had chickens,
as I have made my own life, I have had chickens and
I hope to always have them. I just love the comfort and
joy they bring to my life. They are amazing little gifts
from God!

I have so many scattered around my home that I could give everyone
in blog land a chicken and still have some left! I hope you like my chickens!

Hi Julie! Oh, my, what a marvelous collection of Roos and Chicks and you even have live ones! My heart just pitty pat seeing them all.
Thank you so much for partying with me!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Oh Julie, I so wish I could have joined in with this party but can you believe that I have no roosters or chooks in my home! I'm going to have to do something about it so that I can join in next time!
You have quite a collection Julie and how amazing that you have the real things too!
Best wishes and have a happy week!
Natasha.
Wow, what a collection you have!!!! I love the big red one on the counter and the red one who supervises the baking. I have a red one and that is about it.
Julie you are not kidding that you have a large collection. I love them all, what great variety! The yard bird and babies are extra special. Thanks for sharing all these with us.
hugs,
Linda
Julie, what a lovely post, I cannot decide which rooster or hen is my favorite, I love them all. I can't even decide which photo I love the best, I think Mama Hen hiding her baby chicks is precious. I especially love the painting your daughter did, she is very talented. xo,
I had such a delightful time seeing all your beautiful collection of chicks and roos.
So much fun...

Julie, what a wonderful collection of chickens you have there. And the one your daughter painted is extra special. I actually have the twin hen to the colorful pair you have. Love all of yours.
I dropped by from Shelia's party to wish you a Happy Cockadoodleydoo Day!
XO,
Sheila :-)
Julie I absolutely love all your roosters and hen. But I especially love the live ones with the cute little chicks!
I have looked for your house, but I don't think we pass it. We go I15 down past Beaver then we turn off on 20 and then head to Panguitch and Kanab. What highway are you on?
Jacqueline
Beautiful chickens, Julie...in the house AND the yard!
Our three mature hens have really slacked off of laying eggs in this horrible heat wave we're experiencing but the four little pullets we bought this spring are just staring to lay. First eggs are so tiny and perfect. I have a partial dozen in my fridge right now ...five 'normal' size from the mature hens and four itty bitty eggs from the new pullets. Both odd looking and adorable, at the same time.
I give them all bonus points for laying at all in this weather. I should take a picture and do a post on my odd dozen.
You have beautiful chickens! Your diverse collection is great.
Blessings...Betty @ Country Charm
I don't think I've ever seen so many chickens! I love them all... From now on I won't think of you as Julie. You will from now on be the chicken lady. What do you think?
Blessings, Debbie
Oh Julie...you have the best chickens. I love the one by the beans the best.
I am so sorry about your sister. Please tell her that I care and that many people care. Cancer is horrible, I hate it, I hate having it...and I hate that more people get it. I pray that there is some help for her. You know, I technically shouldn't be here, but the Lord has blessed me.
But as my 83 year old aunt tells mee, we always want ONE MORE DAY!
what a wonderful collection you have. This reminded me of my grandmother. She collected roosters and had a cabinet filled with all kinds of them
Oh, my! What a wonderful collection you have! I love them all! :)
Yes, I would say that you like chickens. I love the one perched on the shelf leaning over the edge.
I wish I were home now so I could take some pictures of the few chickens I have to share at the chicken party. (I am currently on a camping trip.)Thanks for sharing your wonderful collection.
Wow Julie ~ that is one awesome collection! They all are great but I am partial to the red one.
Love it.
Have a happy week.
Great collection! Love your real mama chicken and her babies!
Wow, what a fabulous collection. The one your daughter made is so special, the one guarding the beans is so funny, the vintage one in the laundry room is adorable (as is the bread box behind it) and the real ones are so sweet. Love how mom was hiding the babies.

Lots of really cute ones and I say when you have something you love - Go for it! I especially love your chicken chair pads.
What a marvelous collection you have...good to see some real ones. Trish
I love this post because I love my rooster and chicks, too. Oh I don't have any real ones now, but I was raised on a farm so I know all about gathering eggs from beneath a hen who might peck your hand! I always loved listening to the hens, they sound so happy. Your collection is fabulous and I think your daughter is a terrific painter!
That quite a collection. I'm partial to those chair pads though!
Oh, Julie~ each picture made me *squeeeal* with delight!
I especially love the hen with the chicks on her back! TOO CUTE!
Your house looks so cute. Love the fresh baked bread and the one that guards the beans.
This post just sweetened up my day! I love chickens, too. xoxo
Julie, Julie, Julie, I love all your chickens -- the plates are fabulous and you know I would love the big red one who is in charge of baking! You certainly have a lot of of them and they are so fun and brighten up your home. Your momma chicken and the cute little babes are so fun. Joni
Wow, Julie you truly have a "gaggle" of chickens and roosters don't you? I guess though, that a gaggle is for geese ~ sorry. :-) Love them all but the red one that supervises the baking is my favorite. Of course, I love to bake too!

Hi Julie,
I enjoyed all of your chickens and roosters...especially the real ones! My mother used to raise chickens and sell the eggs. You have a great collection! Enjoyed all of your photos. (I was visiting my sister-in-law last week and she has a lot of chickens and roosters too.) :)
How cute! What a fun theme for your whole house :)

It wasn't a coincidence that I started breeding horses when my kids all left home...

What a fabulous collection! I like the big fat hen the best, soooooo cute! The real ones are so sweet, I had planned on getting some this summer but with all the construction going on there just wasn't time. My Mom has chickens on top of her kitchen cupboards. I should take a picture of them and join the fun!!
Hi Julie! OH, I've been thinking, if you sell your beautiful home what will you do with your live Roos and Chicks?
Oh, wasn't the party fun? Thank you again for coming!
