OUR FAMILY EASTER 2013...(PART 1)

Some of our family got together for Easter
this year and we had so much fun! We went
for a hike at a place called Red Cliffs. It was
just the right kind of a hike, not too far or too
steep! It was so beautiful every step of the way.

Lisa and her cute dog Gerty.

There were two water falls along the way
and people were swimming in the pools
there. It was such a beautiful place!

This is me...yes, grandma Julie being
crazy again...aren't I too old to be doing
such things?!

It was a bit scary but oh so fun!

Our grandson Stetson with a little
grandson on his back.

Some of our bunch stopping for a break...

Our Lindsey with sweet baby Jonah
who was so good all the way!

Ron and I so enjoyed this hike!

Michael...this hike was beyond beautiful
all the way along!

Everyone of us enjoyed the day so much.

I thought this was so cute...
Daddy taking a picture of his
cute little family.
(Lindsey's family)

This little Jonah was such a good baby,
never cried at all, just happy to be out
and about. We kept sun screen on him
took extra good care of him.

Our son Shane going up over the only
way to get to the upper falls.

We just had such a fun fun day!

Every turn brought more beauty...

The beginning of an arch? Lots of those in
southern Utah.

This was at the first falls...these are all of our
family...nobody jump!!!!

Natalie and Stetson were just like
mountain goats, they were all over
the hills.

We had to get a picture under this, "oh so pretty tree".

Every step of the way was so exciting.

Kelton and Brody loved this giant tree stump!
They could climb right inside the roots of it and
hide. It looked like it had been there forever.

Every direction we looked, it was so pretty.

The boys were up and on top of every rock.

 Another picture of our bunch...

After the hike we had a picnic...
and this is where Sophia found 2
Easter baskets, one for her and one
for her baby brother...she was so
happy!

She loved finding all the colored eggs
hidden in last Falls leaves.

Yipee..look what the Easter bunny left for me!

We had a yummy picnic lunch...

And grandpa and Jonah solved all the problems
of the world with their old head and new head.

Then we all hiked up a near by mountain
to enjoy all those eggs that took forever to
color!

Yes! The perfect play ground for rolling and
chucking eggs at each other! You had to have
a good arm because it was a long throw!

Uncle Shane was a bit of a target, but
he got in some good shots too!

Brody loved rolling his down the
hill and we would roll them back
up to him so he could roll them down
again...I know it's a crazy tradition!

The girls had a great arm for chucking!

I stayed way out of their way!

What a great first part of our Eastering
together...more to come in part 2.

Oh, my GOSH! Julie!!! You are so brave. I don't envy you but applaud you not minding your feet being off the ground. What a fabulous hike & sights to see ... it is such fun 'tagging along' with you all. The children are just precious.

So glad you had such a grand time.

Happy Easter memories ~

What a beautiful area you live in! My kids in Idaho would love to hike there, they spend most weekends in the summer hiking somewhere.
You have a wonderful family, and how fun to hike out there and have a picnic. I love your family traditions.
Hugs, Cindy
