ARNOLD FRIEBERG...

Arnold Frieberg passed away this past month, he was I think 96 years old.
He was a great artist from Utah and I admired his work very much.

He painted everything from cowboys and Indians to the Canadian Mounties to The Pioneers to Bible and Book of Mormon people.
His work was so mesmerizing...bigger than life itself. His figures were heroic, bold and strong...I loved that. It has been said of this artist that, "He had a gift given to him by God" and I think he did.
I have stood in front of a wall size painting of his and just been so taken in by it's great and vast beauty. Yes, this man had a great gift and has left the world more beautiful than it was.
A great talent who gave it all to his brothers ans sister here on earth....Thank you Arnold Frieberg!

Below is some of his work...enjoy looking at it
and may you feel the spirit of his work.

I hope you have enjoyed his art work, maybe you can
Google more information about this artist and see more of his work.

(I think our baby will be coming this week!)
(I'll let you know as soon as I know!)

I hadn't known he passed away, but his picture of Nephi is my favorite picture of him, sweetpea. I want to someday meet him and kiss his toes for what he did for us.

He definitely had a gift from God...one that is now stilled but lives on in his work. Some of his imagery is just haunting, isn't it? Emotionally inspiring for sure! Diana

I seem to remember that he was one of President Monson's favorite artists. He did do so many gorgeous and inspiring pieces. I love that people like him leave so much of themselves behind for the rest of us when they pass on. Also a real Legacy for his posterity and a living testimony of what was important to him.

What a awesome and magnificent talent God gave to this man.

I've wondered so many times what it would be like to be able to paint like this. To paint something so beautiful. *HEAVY sigh....
