WATERMELON PIE...and...GRANDCHILDREN.

I wanted to share this yummy summer pie with you, hope you like it!

" WATERMELON PIE "

Whip together for 2 minutes;

1 cup sugar
1 package (80z.) cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
2 drops red food coloring

then....

Fold in 2 cups of cubed or balled, seedless watermelon chunks.

Pour all of this into a prepared graham cracker crust.
Top with 2 cups cool whip or whipped cream.
Chill or just go right ahead and eat...so delicious!

I have been gone for a couple of days helping out with some of our grands.
This is one of my cute little bugs...Sophia. I just love her cute little antennas!

I hadn't been to McDonald's since my kids were little.
My daughter Lindsey and I took the little ones there
for lunch and they had so much fun together.

Caleb and his sister Ella

Sophia and Ella

Hold still... lets get a picture for grandma.

Peek a Boo Caleb!

We had fun shooting baskets...

Later, I caught a picture of Ella and Ollie...

They just love to dance together...at least one of them does!

A pretty rainbow out of my daughters window...

Sophia and her first kids meal...I guess she's a real American now!

Our sweet-faced great grandson, Tracen.

I'd give anything, if I could look as cute as Sophia in a sun bonnet!
With a chocolate dipped strawberry in each hand, a Heavenly
Summer moment!

My daughter Tiffany took these last two pictures of her kids.
I just love how sweet they are as they sit looking up at this
statue of Jesus!

" I LOVE TO SEE THE TEMPLE "

I love to see the temple, I'm going there someday
To feel the Holy Spirit, To listen and to pray.
For the temple is a house of God, A place of love and beauty.
I'll prepare myself while I am young, This is my sacred duty.

I love to see the temple. I'll go inside someday.
I'll covenant with my Father; I'll promise to obey.
For the temple is a holy place where we are sealed together.
As a child of God, I've learned this truth: A family is forever.

(a Primary song, written by Janice Kapp Perry)

I hope your summer is going well and you are having lots and lots of fun!
It's still not been that warm here, getting lots of rain. The warm days are
a bit of Heaven to me and I am getting out and enjoying every one of them.

SENDING YOU ALL MY LOVE

Hi Julie!

Looks like you are having a very wonderful summer! The pie looks so delicious - I have half a watermelon in the fridge . . . think I will give it a try!

Your grands are so adorable! I can tell that you are just in seventh heaven when you are with them!

I love the song, "I Love to see the Temple"! I was watching a show about Janice Kapp Perry a few weeks ago, and she said that she wrote the song about the Idaho Falls Temple - that's temple in our area! So, every time I am at the temple, or see the temple, I think of that song! Such a touching picture of the kids by the statue of Christ...just beautiful.

Hugs,
Barb

delicious pie s riht for a hot summer day - loads of beautiful photos of our grandchildren and YOU! Love to see the joy on your face -- and the song "I Love to see the temple" - it was one of many song I signed in sign language and this one I taught my deaf twin sons back when they were tiny little boys -- so it hold a soft spot in my heart we even sign it as a family later on for a large group of people.. those were the days of busyness indeed!..
