HAS ANYONE'S BURDEN BEEN LIGHTER TODAY, BECAUSE I WAS WILLING TO SHARE? HAVE THE SICK AND THE WEARY BEEN HELPED ON THEIR WAY? WHEN THEY NEEDED MY HELP WAS I THERE ?
THERE ARE CHANCES FOR WORK ALL AROUND JUST NOW, OPPORTUNITIES RIGHT IN OUR WAY. DO NOT LET THEM PASS BY, SAYING, "SOMETIME I'LL TRY," BUT GO AND DO SOMETHING TODAY. 'TIS NOBLE OF MAN TO WORK AND TO GIVE ; LOVE'S LABOR HAS MERIT ALONE. ONLY HE WHO DOES SOMETHING HELPS OTHERS TO LIVE. TO GOD EACH GOOD WORK WILL BE KNOWN.
THEN WAKE UP AND DO SOMETHING MORE THAN DREAM OF YOUR MANSION ABOVE. DOING GOOD IS A PLEASURE, A JOY BEYOND MEASURE, A BLESSING OF DUTY AND LOVE. For in as much as ye have done it unto the least of these my brethern, ye have done it unto me.
I believe these are the Saviors words, and I believe him.
Some questions;
Are we not all beggars?
Do we not all depend upon the same Being, even God for all that we have,
for both food and raiment, and even for our very breath?
So, if God who has created you, and you are dependent on him for your lives and for all that you have and are...oh how we ought to impart of our substance to help our fellow beings.
If we are to be called his people we must be willing to;
Bear one another's burdens, that they may be light...
willing to lift the hands that hang down...
willing to mourn with those who mourn...
willing to comfort those that stand in need of comfort....
willing to stand as witnesses of God, at all times and in all things, and in all places.
I hope we can all look, and see what we can do, to help those in need of help.
Pray for each other, pray for this world, pray for the people and the many, many orphaned children of Haiti.

Often when we face obstacles in our day-to-day life, our hurdles seem very small in comparison to what many others have to face. The Brooklyn Bridge shows us that dreams that seem impossible can be realised with determination and persistence, no matter what the odds are.The pursuit of happiness is a matter of choice…it is a positive attitude we consciously choose to express. It is not a gift that gets delivered to our doorstep each morning, nor does it come through the window. And I am certain that our circumstances are just a small part of what makes us joyful. If we wait for them to get just right, we will never find lasting joy.
The LORD is with us !

What a wonderful and heartfelt post and calling for us, the children of our Heavenly Father. We were talking to our children yesterday and used the same verses yesterday in our conversation with them.
Another beautiful heart felt post. Your words are so right and true. I can pray and hope for the best of the people and children of Haiti... there is also the red cross we can contact for donations of many. Thanks for thinking of others. I feel so bad for all of the little kids and babies in Haiti right now. Everyone needs to know that if you send a text message to "90999", the Red Cross will donate $10 to help Haiti and $10 will be billed to your cell phone account!

I want to commend you for taking the courage to alert Mary Enbelbreit on the offensiveness of taking the Lord's name in vain. You are right, it is all too common, and yet It says so much about a person when they do that...an example of how what seems like a "small thing" can speak volumes.

I am so sad for those precious orphans...I'm praying and praying for them!
I heard today in church that none of the LDS church building were ruined because of the their strong foundations. The church uses strict building codes. Now those building are blessing the lives of the Haitians. They are using them as shelter and a safe place to treat those that have been hurt. I couldn't help but think of Joseph Smith's word in the Kirkland Temple dedication. "... protection and and refuge".
We are so blessed! Thanks for the sweet message. It really makes me want to "wake up and do something more"!

There isn't anything I have watched on tv that hasn't touched me to the core of my soul...everyone reaching out.

And even though I will not be going to Haiti, there are many things each and every one of us can do to help the needy in practical and intangible things....good post and reminder, thank-you.

Julie, I think prayers may help but they are not really enough for this people now, they need to eat, drink and be healed and at this moment I believe "money" from all around the world will take care of the urgent necessities... it is what we as a family did and many in Chile are doing,Red Cross or whatever other mean, and only some people are going there to help but mainly nursers, doctors and military men.
We are a country of many hard earthquakes and since I remember I have lived many earthquakes.
