OFF TO THE BRIGHT LIGHTS....

I will be gone for awhile....wish I was going here.... wouldn't that be loverly?!

But I am headed through these doors...

Wish my doctor was as cute as this little guy!

This will be my new bed for a bit...isn't it just beautiful?
Lovely head board, and just look at those designer sheets!
I can hardly wait!

They say everybody loves to be in the bright lights,
and have their 15 minutes of fame,
well here I come for my turn!

I will miss all of you... but I will get back to you and blogging as soon as I can.

Nothing too serious, I hope...just a full hysterectomy, I'm sure many of you out there have been through it too.
My doctor found a bit of something going on that looked a little scary, so this was the decided path to go.
Say a little prayer for me will you?
I'll be back as soon as I can...all my love to each of you!

Oh Julie...you scared me! I don't want to scare you but I had one that didn't go so well...mine was probably different tho ( it was sorta emergency surgery due to a fast growing fibroid tumor~the size of a grapefruit!!~...I had a large inscision that got terribly infected...many months of many doctors and living in agony to get it to heal). Talk to him about coming home with an antibiotic and how to watch your wound for infection sweetie! My case was very rare so don't let it scare you & you will feel soooo much better when all is said and done!
lot's of love & prayers:)

But...been there, done that...best thing I ever did! Went smoothly for me! The best advice? Do what the Dr. says and no heavy lifting or cleaning for the next 6 weeks! I'll be thinking of you!

Julie, you will be in my prayers! Post when you can to let us know how you are. We will miss you!

I had a partial about 5 years ago! The doctor messed around about 5 years before he decided to do it. My color came back immediately and felt better so fast. I bled ALL the time~~month in and month out HEAVY. The surgery I had no pain at all and really never knew he did anything. No pill pains or hormones. (yet~~~I'm 48) About a week after I got an infection and was back in but the surgery was fine.

You will LOVE it when it's over - - - I'm 21 years post hysterectomy.

I hope all goes well, that you don't even REMEMBER the bed, those sheets, nor the LIGHTS of the OR, and that you return to blogging soon.

I'm thinking blogging will be a FUN, sedentary activity for your weeks of recovery!!! When I had my surgery, there wasn't even such a thing as a family PC!!!! (Not to mention the internet)

We'll all miss you.

I tried to reply last night before your surgery but my computer needs some surgery of its own.
I prayed last night and this morning for you and the doctors who would be performing your surgery all would go well and the news would be good.
I had my complete hysterectomy when I was 29 after a false start with a 3 hour surgery at age 26.he doctor was able to perform a miracle for us and I was able to get another baby in before my final hysterectomy.
I am sending much love and best wishes for a FAST recovery!

Hello!
I have been such a bad blog commenter! Just so busy with the "kids!" I am just now getting around to visit everyone.
So concerned when I read you had surgery. I have had my own troubles with female stuff. I had my right ovary and oodles of scar tissue removed a few years ago. They couldn't do it lapro so I had an old incision opend for about the 6th time! Same recovery time as a Hysto :(

Be very careful and follow docs orders. You will need lots of rest :)

If you want to email me feel free!

Blessings to you, friend!

Oh, Dear Julie! I've missed so much. I'm so sorry you've had to go through this but glad it's over and you're home. I've had this and it takes a while to get your strength back. But one day, when you least expect it! There it is! This was the best thing to ever happen to me. Well, maybe becoming a grand ma was the best thing! :) But I had had so many problems for so many years and at 35 yrs. of age, I had to have a hysterectomy. Now you take so much care of yourself and let everyone wait on you. Enjoy it and rest!
Thanks for your sweet welcome to our little Carter! I knew you would appreciate the baby pictures! :)
